THE PUBLIC WEBSITE SETS NO COOKIES. There is no analytics, advertising or tracking script on it, and the fonts are served from our own domain, so visiting does not tell a third party you were here. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

THE REQUEST FORM REMEMBERS HOW YOU ARRIVED, IN THIS TAB ONLY. When you first open a page, the site notes the page you landed on, the site that linked to you, any campaign labels in the address (such as utm_source) and a partner code if one was in the link. This is kept in your browser's session storage — not a cookie — is erased when you close the tab or send a form, and reaches us only as part of a form you choose to send. We use it to know which channels bring real requests; it is never shared.

THE STAFF CONTROL ROOM SETS ONE. Signing in to the private control room sets a single strictly necessary cookie (emx_session) that keeps a staff member signed in for up to twelve hours. It is not set for website visitors.

IF THIS CHANGES — for example if we ever add analytics — this page changes first, and anything that is not strictly necessary will only run after you have agreed to it.
